Pine Hall Brick English Edge®: a fresh
spin on paving brick for The New American Home® 2002.
Winston-Salem, NC
These days, one of mans oldest
building materials is showing a new face: Pine Hall Brick
English Edge® clay paver features spacer nibs and beveled
edges on both sides, making installation easier than ever
for professionals and do-it-yourselfers alike.

These unique design features,
combined with excellent product quality and a wide range
of color choices, won English Edge® inclusion in The New
American Home® 2002. It forms the front walkway, driveway
and the patio in back, blending smoothly with the homes
wood siding and the stone-edged pool.
We chose the Pine Hall Brick
paver because we needed a paver that would withstand vehicle
weight and climate variations, says Jeff Akin, Builder
with John Wieland Homes and Neighborhoods, Inc. Based
on professional recommendations, we found that the Pine
Hall Brick paver met all of our requirements for stability,
durability and weather resistance.

We also chose the pavers
because of the interlocking spacer nibs and the color selection,
adds Michelle Horstemeyer, Project Manager with John Wieland
Homes and Neighborhoods, Inc. The Pine Hall Brick
pavers are flashed to create natural variations,
so we didnt have to select several colors and blend
them ourselves. And the service was excellent the
sales manager was even available to visit the job site and
consult with us about our color choices.
Lately weve seen a growing trend of using mixed
materials in new home projects, says Ted Corvey, Paver
Director of Pine Hall Brick. People enjoy the eclectic
look of a house built with stone or wood siding surrounded
by clay pavers on the driveway and patio. Homeowners feel
that the mixing of materials allows them to really create
a personalized statement with their new home.
Unlike non-clay pavers, Pine Hall Brick clay
pavers will never fade. And the built-in spacer nibs on English
Edge® pavers help to insure perfect spacing in less time -
the pavers can simply be placed next to each other without
having to use plastic spacers or measuring devices. The beveled
edges on both bed surfaces allow either brick face to be used
for maximum control over color variation, making it easier
than ever for professional installers or do-it-yourselfers
to create the perfect patio, driveway or walkway.
