Walking through Hoover Corridor on the main campus, there is no evidence that it was once part of the Los Angeles street grid. The university wanted the Hoover Corridor to extend the architectural and landscape themes established elsewhere on campus.

Three colors of English Edge pavers were used "to link so many different buildings together with a common landscape treatment and still enhance the character of each individual building" said Hart, president of Fong Hart Schneider & Partners

Fong Hart Schneider & Partners received the 2004 Brick Paving Design Award from the Brick Industry Association for this project.
